At a live concert in Kansas City, Aaron Lewis (frontman of the rock band Staind) stopped in the middle of a song to call out some of the people in the audience who were inappropriately touching a girl who was crowd-surfing. A video clip of Lewis' expletive-ridden rant was posted on YouTube which immediately went viral, amassing over a million views in just a few days.
Halfway through the song Something To Remind You, Lewis suddenly stopped and shouted to the crowd: "Alright, listen up, you f***ing a**holes, that f***ing girl right there is like 15 f***ing years old, and you f***ing pieces of s**t are molesting her while she’s on the f***ing crowd. Your f***ing mothers should be ashamed of themselves you pieces of s**t. You should all be f***ing beaten down by everyone around you for being f***ing pieces of s**t. If I f***ing see that s**t again, I swear to god, I will point you out in the crowd and have everyone around you beat your f***ing a**."
Aware that the incident has gone viral, Lewis tweeted the following:
thanks?! Not sure how anyone in my shoes would've reacted any differently....just did what my gut told me to..ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT!!!
