This Is What War Does To Children

"Just because it isn't happening here doesn't mean it isn't happening."

The start of the Syrian Civil War will have its 3rd anniversary this coming March 15. This three-year-old war continues to devastate lives everyday. 6,000 people are getting killed every month. 300 people flee their homes every hour. Among the most affected by this ongoing conflict are children. More than 11,000 children were lost already and more than a million were turned into refugees.

In an awareness campaign that hopes to "shine a light for all those people struggling to survive through this brutal war", Save The Children, a non-governmental organization has come up with Faces for Syria, an online undertaking. Donate your image and this will join thousands of others to form the face of a Syrian child. This image will then be shared online on March 14 to send a powerful message of support. "We will show every Syrian child, woman and man that we are with them, that we are #withSyria." [Faces for Syria]

To show your support, please visit the Faces for Syria website and donate your image. For more information about the campaign, visit Save Syria's Children or the official Save the Children website.
