HotCopy Review: Is It A Scam? Is It Worth It Writing Articles For The Freelance Writing Site?

If you are an online freelance writer and you are looking for another freelance writing website to add to your basket of eggs, HotCopy is a site you might want to check out. In this honest HotCopy review, I am going to tell you about my experience with the site. I joined HotCopy on July 2016. I'm surprised that I haven't heard of it earlier considering the fact that the site was founded in August 2015.

What Is HotCopy (website URL: hotcopy.co)?
HotCopy is a content writing service provider. You sign up as a writer, you pick the articles you want to write, and you get paid for your work. Anyone from around the world can become a writer in the site. Just make sure that you can write in English with minimal grammar issues. The sign-up process is simple. However, before you are able to accept job orders, you have to go through an application procedure that consists of two sections. One, you have to go through an on-the-spot sample writing test. Two, you have to upload your resume/portfolio or provide links to articles that you've written. You have to wait between 3 to 14 business days to receive an email notifying you if your application has been approved.

How Much Does HotCopy Pay?
There are three levels of writers on the site - Standard, Advanced, and Pro. Standard writers get paid $0.014 per word. That's about $7 for a 500-word article. Advanced writers are paid $0.02 per word; about $10 for a 500-word article. Last but not the least. Pro writers are paid $0.05 per word; about $25 for a 500-word article. I'm still a Standard writer since I'm new to the site so I can't speak about how it's like in the higher levels.

How Do You Get Paid?
HotCopy only offers PayPal as their payment option. Make sure to enter your correct PayPal email address when filling up your account information. You can only request for a payout when your earnings balance is $50 or more. Payout requests within a particular week are processed every Thursday in the succeeding week. For instance, if you request for a payout on a Friday, the payment will be processed on Thursday next week.

How Revisions Work
A client can request a revision for the article you wrote if he isn't satisfied with it. He can request for two revisions. After the second revision, the client will have to decide whether he will accept or reject the article. You won't be paid for the revisions, either. So see to it that you polish your articles very well before you submit them.
Are There Steady Writing Jobs Available?
I'm still a new writer in the site so I don't know what the job board looks like in the past. However, I've been writing on the site for more than two weeks now and there are always writing jobs available whenever I log in. And I log in everyday. One problem I see with HotCopy is that writers are allowed to take only three writing jobs at a time. When you finish writing the three articles, you can't do any more work unless these have been approved by the client. It usually takes one to five days for the articles to be approved.

Conclusion
HotCopy is definitely a content writing site you should check out. It's easy to sign up. It's not restricted to U.S. or U.K. writers which means everyone is welcome to apply. And the pay rate for articles is a bit more compared to other writing sites out there. Apply as a writer for HotCopy right now!
