12 Strong Trailer 2 Song Title: Name of the Song Playing in the Movie Trailer

What's the name of the rock song playing in the second trailer of the action war movie 12 Strong starring Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, and Michael Pena? It featured the following lyrics: "Can't you hear me knocking on your window? Can't you hear me knocking on your door? Hear me ringing big bell tolls. Hear me singing soft and low." Well, the title of the song is Can't You Hear Me Knocking and it's a classic tune by The Rolling Stones. However, the one featured in the 12 Strong movie trailer is a cover by another band.

I tried searching for the name of the recording artist or band behind the cover because it's really good. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful. I contacted someone I know who might be able to pinpoint the artist behind the cover. She said she'll get back to me soon. I'm still waiting for her reply.

Anyway, Can't You Hear Me Knocking is the fourth track in Sticky Fingers, the studio album released by The Rolling Stones in April of 1971. It was named by the Rolling Stone magazine in 2004 as the 25th in their list of "The 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time". With a run time of over seven minutes, it's one of The Rolling Stones's longest songs. It has been either covered or sampled by various artists and bands like Bernard Fowler, Chuck D, Santana, Scott Weiland, The Bamboos, Release, and The Brown Derbies. The first trailer for the movie also featured a classic rock song as covered by a contemporary artist. I Won't Back Down by Tom Petty was featured on the first trailer. But the trailer used a cover version by Ryan Star (Brand New Day, Stay Awhile, Last Train Home, Breathe). The more popular covers of I Won't Back Down include those by Johnny Cash, Sam Elliot, Pearl Jam, and Kris Kristofferson. About the Movie
