Englishman Builds An Obstacle Course For Squirrels. And It's Awesome!!!

For many people especially those who keep bird-feeders in their backyards, squirrels are a nuisance. These creatures have a knack for stealing the seeds and nuts that should've been for the birds. But for one Englishman, squirrels are more than welcome to come to his nice backyard and feast from his bird feeders. However, the squirrels have to prove themselves worthy of the treats first.

Steve Barley decided to have some fun with the squirrels so he built three obstacle courses in his backyard. Each obstacle course leads to a bird-feeder full of nuts and seeds. The squirrels have to go through the obstacle courses before they can take a bite of the tasty treats. Are the squirrels up for the challenge? Watch how they did in the video below.

Meet Eleanor, A Squirrel Raised By A Man Since It Was A Baby

Mark was remodeling a house when he accidentally tore out a squirrel nest. Finding a baby squirrel which at that time was about three to four weeks old, mark decided to take care of the baby squirrel.

In a post on Reddit, Mark narrated: "I immediately Googled baby squirrel care. You have to keep them warm and make sure they are hydrated. They get dehydrated extremely quickly! I fed her puppy milk replacement formula with a small syringe. It wasnt too difficult and there is a lot of good info on the internet. She now eats avocados, pears, apples, and whatever she finds in the yard. She comes inside a lot when the patio door is open. She usually just hangs out on the curtains. Its been really interesting and rewarding. I have a totally new perspective on these little critters."

Mark released Eleanor back into the wild but it insists on living at his house deck. Below are a couple of videos starring Eleanor courtesy of Mark.

Taking A Selfie With A Squirrel? Not A Very Good Idea And Here's Why.

Apparently, squirrels hate it when humans try to take selfies wherein they are included in the shot. This man (who obviously wasn't aware of this bit of information) tried to take a selfie with a cute squirrel he found hanging out at some bridge. He was able to take a selfie alright. He also got attacked by the squirrel. He probably escaped with scratches on his neck and back. And he should be very thankful that squirrels aren't the size bears or his head have been bitten off his shoulders.

Here's the man excitedly taking the selfie with the wild-eyed and seemingly peaceful squirrel.

This girl talks to squirrels; gives them cute little hats too

Her name is Mary Krupa, a student at Pennsylvania State University. Her uncanny ability to get very close to the squirrels around her campus has earned her the nickname Squirrel Whisperer. Her routine in befriending them involves attracting them with peanuts, giving them nice little hats, then taking their pictures for posting on Facebook later.
