Former boxing champion Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton had her second mixed martial arts fight last August 29 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai for One Fighting Championship 19: Reign of Champions. Julaton who competes in the flyweight division faced Ann Osman of Malaysia who was also fighting for the second time in MMA. The bout went the full distance. At the end of three five-minute rounds, Osman was declared the winner via split decision.
The bout opened with Julaton landing punches to Osman's head and body. Sensing that she can't win a stand-up battle, Osman secured a takedown and worked on her ground and pound. She also attempted several submission attempts. The bell rang at the end of the first round with Osman still working on a submission attempt.
The second round was all Osman as she again took the fight to the ground. Nearing the end of the round, Julaton was able to reverse the position but she wasn't able to do meaningful damage. Julaton had her moments early in the third and final round when she landed hard punches on Osman's head which rocked the Malaysian. Osman again secured a takedown and did more damage with several submission attempts.
