Before You Go There
You need to contact the management of the farm and let them know of your plan to visit. Because of the ongoing pandemic, there are protocols by the municipality of Bauko that the farm has to adhere to. They can't just let anyone and everyone inside the farm. They usually don't accept walk-ins. This means that you can't just go there without an advance reservation. This is why it's very important that you contact them and make reservations then go there on your scheduled visit. Scroll down to the bottom of this article to find the complete contact details of the farm. Such details include their cellphone number, email, address, and a link to their official Facebook page.
How to Get There
At this time, there are no public utility vehicles (i.e. buses) that run the Baguio-Bila route. With that said, it's recommended that you have your own car service when you go there. As we mentioned earlier, getting to Iyaman Farm is a 4 to 6-hour ride. So be prepared for the long drive. If you have never traversed the Halsema Highway before, be prepared for the winding curves and high cliffs. The good thing is that the road is 99% paved so you don't have to worry about any rough roads. You just have to be careful because you will be driving through steep mountain slopes.
It would be better if you travel with someone who is familiar with the road from Baguio to Bauko. You have to follow Halsema Highway until the section in Mabaay wherein the highway branches out to the left and the right. You should take the left road because the right road leads to Bontoc. After Mabaay, you can just ask people along the way how to get to Iyaman Farm. It would also be good if you use Google Maps. The directions there are pretty accurate.
The View
The farm is located high up in a mountain so you have a good view of the surrounding Bauko mountains and communities. If you love nature and the outdoors, Iyaman Farm is a great place to relax and rejuvenate. Enjoy a cup of Benguet coffee while savoring the beautiful views around you.
